A Puerto Rico native, Barbara Mandez came to New York with her mother at a young age. Growing up in the states during the 90's broadened her knowledge in different cultures & taste in fashion. Very early in her adolescence she became intrigued by American literature, Greek architecture, Parisian aesthetics & Italian Fashion. Collecting vintage items throughout the years, passed down to her by her grandmother, mother, & aunt led to a lifelong appreciation for preloved pieces. Timeless pieces that held both monetary & sentimental value. When establishing Vintage Amour, Mandez wanted the brand to exude allure, femininity, & sentiment. Every collection is carefully curated by her with the intent to evoke discovery & beauty. From modern jewelry, handmade vessels, & Vintage Denim, she hopes these pieces will be ones to pass along to our daughters, grandaughters & Friends. When she isn't handmaking candles, floral arrangements or sowing, you can find her cuddled up by the fireplace with her daughter Amoura & Husband Johnny.
